Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked US President Donald Trump for acknowledging Pakistan’s role in counter-t*rrorism efforts in Afghanistan.
In a post on X, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to combating t*rrorism and ensuring regional stability.
Trump’s appreciation came after Pakistan apprehended Shareefullah, a D*esh commander involved in the 2021 Kabul airport bombing, which k*lled 13 US service members and 170 Afghans. Shehbaz highlighted Pakistan’s sacrifices, noting that over 80,000 Pakistanis lost their lives fighting t*rrorism.
He emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to deny t*rrorists safe havens and pledged continued cooperation with the US for peace.
