Eight Pakistani cricketers have been fined a total of Rs3 million for various code of conduct breaches since the home Test series against England, according to reports.
All-rounder Aamir Jamal received the heaviest fine of Rs1.3 million for wearing a cap with a political slogan during an interview in the first Test against England in October 2024.
Three players were fined Rs500,000 each during the white-ball tour to Australia for arriving late at the team hotel. In South Africa, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, and Abbas Afridi were penalized for breaking curfew.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that disciplinary matters and sanctions are internal affairs and are not disclosed publicly to protect the reputations of national cricketers. The fines come amid criticism following Pakistan’s early exit from the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, where they failed to secure a single victory.
