PAKISTAN REJECTS AFGHAN DIPLOMATES REMARKS OF MISTREATING AFGHAN PEOPLE

Pakistan reaffirmed its longstanding hospitality towards millions of Afghan refugees, dismissing claims of mistreatment during the Illegal Foreigners Repatriation Plan (IFRP).

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan responded to remarks by the Afghan Charge d’Affaires, stating that Pakistan has provided Afghan nationals with respect, dignity, and access to essential services despite minimal international support.

He emphasized that the IFRP, initiated in 2023, was designed to ensure a smooth and humane repatriation process, with extensive engagement with Afghan authorities. Khan urged the interim Afghan government to create conditions for the successful reintegration of returnees and to uphold their rights.
