Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 is expected to bring an extended nine-day holiday period in Pakistan, with many anticipating a break from March 29 to April 6.
The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has predicted that Eid may fall on March 31, with the Shawwal moon expected to be visible on March 30.
Public holidays for Eid typically last three days, but if the government declares official holidays from March 29 (Saturday) to April 2 (Wednesday) and grants extra leave on April 3 and 4 (Thursday and Friday), Pakistanis could enjoy nine consecutive days off.
The final holiday schedule will depend on the official moon sighting announcement by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
