NADRA has launched Pakistan’s first dematerialized digital identity card, marking a significant milestone in the country’s identity management system.
The announcement was made during NADRA’s silver jubilee ceremony, where a commemorative coin, a postage stamp, and a book celebrating its 25-year journey were also unveiled.
The event was attended by Major General (Retd) Zahid Ehsan, NADRA’s founding chairman, and Lieutenant General (Retd) Asif Munir, the current chairman.
Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi emphasized the digital ID’s integration into the Pak ID mobile app, enabling citizens to store their IDs on smartphones.
