The administration of the Prophet’s Mosque in Saudi Arabia has introduced a digital mapping system to assist worshippers in finding space during prayer times.
Available in Arabic, English, and Urdu, the maps can be accessed by scanning QR codes placed around the mosque.
They provide real-time crowd data across 12 locations, helping visitors avoid congested areas and locate available space quickly.
This initiative, part of the Ministry of Holy Mosques Affairs’ efforts, aims to improve crowd management, especially during Ramadan, ensuring a smoother and more peaceful prayer experience.
The system is particularly beneficial for the elderly and first-time visitors, reducing unnecessary movement inside the mosque. By checking the map beforehand, worshippers can save time and pray comfortably.
