Islamabad High Court (IHC) allowed visitors to meet former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan

In a significant ruling, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) allowed visitors to meet former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, with a strict condition prohibiting any media interaction after the meetings.

The court’s three-member bench, led by Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar, heard petitions concerning Imran Khan’s jail meetings.

The court was informed that his meetings had been held under the same SOPs until December, but changes were implemented in January due to heightened security concerns following his conviction.

The IHC emphasized that visitors should meet Khan without engaging in media discussions afterward, suggesting that they submit an undertaking to refrain from making statements to the media.

The court also ruled that the meetings would be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and only individuals named by Khan’s coordinator would be allowed to meet him.
