PTI Central Secretary for Information Waqas Akram Sheikh claimed that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is being held in a d*ath cell at Adiala Jail in solitary confinement, despite legal provisions allowing meetings.
Addressing a press conference, Sheikh stated that court orders permitting six visitors are being ignored, and even Khan’s family and legal team are denied access.
He revealed that a contempt of court petition has been filed but remains unaddressed. Jail authorities have allegedly withheld books and newspapers from Khan, and his meetings with his wife have been delayed twice.
Additionally, he has not been allowed to meet his children or sign legal documents. Sheikh criticized the government’s actions, calling them an attempt to suppress Khan, and warned of protests.
He demanded that Khan’s personal doctor be allowed to conduct a medical examination, emphasizing that Khan remains resilient despite these restrictions.
