Apple has launched the iPhone 16e, an upgraded version of its most affordable iPhone model, in an effort to appeal to a wider audience and boost demand for its products.
The new iPhone 16e incorporates several AI advancements, positioning it as a step forward from its predecessor, the iPhone SE. With a starting price of $600, it comes at a 40% increase from the $430 of the last SE model.
However, it remains more affordable than the base iPhone 16, priced at $800.
The iPhone 16e aims to offer enhanced features at a lower price point, filling the gap between budget-conscious buyers and those seeking premium options. The phone will hit stores on February 28, with pre-orders opening this Friday.
Apple hopes that this strategic upgrade, incorporating advanced AI technology, will help revive demand for the iPhone lineup and expand its user base.
