Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s conversation with his legal team in Adiala Jail:”I strongly condemn the tragic martyrdom of Maulana Hamid ul Haq and his companions as a result of the explosion at Jamia Haqqania in Akora Khattak
. May Allah elevate the ranks of the martyrs and grant patience to their families. Ameen.Since the regime change in Pakistan, the scourge of terrorism has become completely uncontrollable. Daily bombings and the loss of precious lives have been occurring in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have made significant sacrifices against terrorism.
There have been funerals in every home. Just when peace had been established for a short while, the monster of terrorism has once again emerged due to flawed policies. The people of Pakistan are no longer willing to become fuel for someone else’s war. Recently, a peace march was organized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which we fully support.
Only when the people learn to fight for their rights will peace become our destiny. In addition, an important issue is the distribution of water among Pakistan’s smaller provinces, which must be resolved. Sindh is currently facing drought, and its people are raising their voices to protect their water rights, which we fully support.
For the protection of Pakistan’s agricultural future, it is crucial that all provinces receive their share of water. We stand with the people of Sindh against the initiation of new canal projects without the consent of their genuine representatives.
We will defend the rights of Sindh at every level. The distribution of water resources is subject to mutual consent among all provinces.Until all institutions return to their constitutional mandates and a government that enjoys public support comes into power, the country will continue to face new crises day by day.
The SIFC is an unconstitutional institution, purportedly established to attract foreign investment. However, no investment has materialized so far, and through it, various government departments have been placed under military control, further devastating an already deteriorating state system. Now, the issues of farmers and canals have also been raised.”
