Sindh’s Senior Minister Shajeel Inam Memon expedite progress on the Red Line project

Sindh’s Senior Minister Shajeel Inam Memon has issued directives to expedite progress on the Red Line project and to immediately remove all obstacles. A high-level meeting regarding the Red Line BRT was held at the Sindh Secretariat in Karachi under the chairmanship of Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Shajeel Inam Memon.

The meeting was attended by Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, Karachi Commissioner Hassan Naqvi, CEO of Trans Karachi Tarek Manzoor Chandio, Trans Karachi Board of Directors member Suroosh Lodhi, international consultants, and other relevant officials.

The Secretary of Planning and Development, Najam Shah, participated in the meeting online. Key issues regarding the Red Line BRT project were discussed, including construction challenges, utilities transfer, and establishing a biogas plant.

. Speaking at the meeting, Senior Minister Shajeel Inam Memon stated that the Red Line BRT is a crucial project for Karachi’s public transport system, and the government is committed to its timely completion.

He mentioned that officials are diligently working to resolve all challenges, including utilities transfer, and emphasized the need for all relevant departments to work in harmony to complete this project swiftly. Senior Minister Shajeel Inam Memon underscored that they cannot afford unnecessary delays in the project and that they seek an immediate end to the difficulties faced by the public. Strict monitoring will be implemented on the project to ensure its smooth completion.

He asserted that the Red Line BRT will bring a revolutionary change to Karachi’s transport system and will provide citizens with an environmentally friendly and effective public transport solution.
