Security forces have rescued at least 155 passengers and k*lled 27 t*rrorists in an ongoing rescue operation after t*rrorists hijacked the Jaffer Express near Balochistan’s Bolan district.
The hostage situation began on Tuesday near the Mashkaf Tunnel, about 157 kilometers from Quetta, when t*rrorists attacked the train, taking over 400 passengers hostage, including security personnel.
According to state-run Radio Pakistan, security forces have freed women and children among the rescued, while 37 injured individuals have been sent for medical treatment.
The operation to eliminate the remaining t*rrorists continues. Authorities claim the attackers were in contact with facilitators in Afghanistan.
